Rob joined Tegra in May 2012 and brings 16 years of experience in senior leadership roles of medical device manufacturing companies. Most recently he was President of the InterV Division of Angiotech Pharmaceuticals following the sale of American Medical Instruments (AMI) to Angiotech. During the three prior years, while he was President of the InterV Division of AMI, the firm’s revenues tripled and operating income increased by 500 percent. Rob served as Group Vice President for the $6.2 billion Marmon Group. There, he served as chief strategist for the medical business and led the acquisition of five companies in six years. He then orchestrated a spinoff of the majority of Marmon’s medical assets to create a branded device company, principally owned by the private equity firm Roundtable Healthcare Partners, with Marmon continuing as an investor. Earlier, Rob assumed the leadership of B.G. Sulzle as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In five years, Sulzle grew revenue by $28 million by improving quality, reducing lead times dramatically and increasing exports of surgical needles. Subsequently, the company was sold to The Marmon Group. Rob also held executive management roles in the clothing manufacturing and wholesale book industry. He is a graduate of Philadelphia University with a B.S. in Apparel Management.
Mark joined Tegra Medical in 2012 with over 20 years of experience in the medical manufacturing industry. Prior to joining Tegra, Mark was President/CEO of Clinical Innovations, having joined the company as General Manager. He served as VP Manufacturing at Avalign Technologies, Manufacturing Consultant at Argon Medical Products, and VP Manufacturing at Angiotech/AMI Holdings. Earlier in his career, he held various positions with Cardinal Health (formerly Allegiance/Baxter Healthcare), including Director of Service, Plant Manager, and Senior Manufacturing Distribution Manager. Mark is a certified Green Belt in Six Sigma, and has extensive education in production and inventory control. He earned a B.S. in Supervision with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Purdue University.
Bill joined Tegra Medical in 2012 with 40 years of experience in financial management in various industries, including medical devices. Prior to joining Tegra, he worked at SimplexGrinnell as Operations Manager. Bill was VP Finance at several AMI Holdings companies: Medical Device Technologies, InterV and B.G. Sulzle Inc. He served as Controller at Hoffman Air & Filtration Systems, and at Garlock, Inc. as International Controller. Earlier in his career, he held finance positions at Bristol Laboratories, General Motors, and M&T Bank. Bill holds a B.S. in Accounting from LeMoyne College and an M.B.A. from Syracuse University.
Walter joined Tegra Medical in 2009 as Business Development Manager in the Western U.S. and was promoted to Vice President in 2012. He is a 29-year veteran of the medical device and contract manufacturing industry. Prior to joining Tegra, Walter spent 15 years with Accellent, a provider of manufacturing services to the medical device industry, in various technical sales and sales management roles, including Director of Business Development. He was the Manager of Technical Sales and Marketing for American Technical Molding, a medical molder acquired by Accellent. Walter also worked for Nova Chemical as Western Region Account Manager, helping to develop applications for new medical-grade plastic alloys. Walter began his career with American McGaw in Irvine, CA (now B. Braun) as a senior staff engineer and injection molding supervisor. Walter attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell where he earned a B.S and M.S in Biological Sciences, as well as completing postgraduate work in plastics technology.
Mike has over 25 years of medical device manufacturing experience. He joined Accumet Laser Inc. in 2001 as the Operations Manager. When the company merged with NEPG and AMI to form Tegra Medical he became the Director of the GENESIS Tech Center. Prior to Accumet Laser, Mike spent two years as the Business Development Manager for Tecomet, Inc. At Microgroup Inc. he served in various engineering and managing roles over twelve years, including Operations Manager. Mike attended the College of William & Mary and has a B.S. in Biology.
Joe joined Tegra Medical (New England Precision Grinding at that time) as CFO in 2004 and played an important role in the acquisition and merger with American Medical Instruments and Accu-Met Laser. Earlier in his career, Joe was CFO and Operations Manager for Process Packaging & Control, from 2001 through 2004. Before joining PPC, Joe held various financial and senior staff positions over an 18-year career at Zymark Corporation in Hopkinton, MA. After joining Zymark in 1983, Joe gained broad business experience in a variety of financial roles up through the position of Worldwide Financial Controller, with primary focus in manufacturing and international operations. Prior to working at Zymark, he was employed at Waters Associates and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Joe graduated with honors from Boston College with a B.S. in Accounting.
Phyllis joined Tegra in 2004, when it was American Medical Instruments. Since that time she has been promoted into various HR positions, most recently Human Resources Director in 2012. She manages all HR activities in Tegra’s Massachusetts facilities, and also serves on their safety committees. Phyllis previously worked in HR positions at Freestone’s City Grill and Petitti Eisenberg & Gamache, P.C. She attended the Kinyon Campbell Business School.
