Insert and Injection Molding
Many of the metal components produced at Tegra Medical are subsequently assembled or insert molded with plastic components. To reduce lead time and costs for the manufacturing of your medical devices, Tegra provides injection and insert molding in our Dartmouth facility. Within this facility we have a class 100,000 molding clean-room and a class 10,000 clean-room for assembly and packaging.
Insert and injection molding is especially suited to medical device manufacturing because it ensures more uniform product quality and improved reliability. Whether you have a new device concept or an approved design, we’ll work with you to provide whatever insert and/or injection molding services you need.
Some of the medical devices we manufacture with insert and injection molding include:
In our plastic molding department we have added an Arburg ALLROUNDER that is ideally suited for injection molding the types of components and assemblies our customers need. This versatile machine operates in a horizontal or vertical position to produce injection molded components or to insert-mold onto metal components or assemblies.
Always in tune with our customers’ needs, we work with a wide variety of medical grade, engineered thermoplastics for both prototyping and production runs. The combination of our internal tool making and design capabilities and our excellent network of tool makers gives us the capability to expedite construction of molds. And if you need specialty needles, cannula assemblies, or a minimally invasive device, we have the right capabilities and expertise to assist you from concept to packaged product. From low cost prototypes to full-scale automated assembly and packaging, let Tegra Medical simplify your project by providing you with complete product solutions.
